If I dont get home at 6pm during the week Ill prob 'glass it tues/wednesday. Otherwise Saturday for sure. I have 2 kinds of mat, chopped and and mat if thats what the other I have is, I forget.

P.S. while building the corner I got the "urge" to build me a fish tank :(

Hahaa sweet man!!!
No thats not to much time for me, i can wait, i still have to cut the hole out for the viewing window and put some supports in when i figure those out.

Are yout really gonna build a tank? how big?

Well the economy nailed me hard so Im stuck at my parents house for right now so Im limited in what I can build. I want to build a 48x48x24 tank and throw it in the basement to atleast get these guys out of the cramped 55 they are in now. Should keep them "comfortable" for atleast 8-12 months, pending on how crazy the pangasius' get. Otherwise 10'x4'x4 atleast!

You could stain it then seal it with some waterproof sealent. Thompson's or something similar.

Or stain it and coat it with resin

Staining it would be nice. You think just regular polyurathane would work to give the stain a nice and shiny waterproof look?

the last time i stained something was in 6th grade technology class, lol

Whats roving? using the roller?

Does the roller have to be cleaned after each batch of resin? or does it peel off of it?

So zennzo your saying cover the hole tank in just the resin before laying actual fiberglass with it?

YES! You need to make sure the wood is clean and dry...
Do your hot coat with a brush, just resin and hardner mixed at a higher ratio (less working time)
This will get the wood ready for the mat or roving which ever you are using...

I soak the Mat or Roving in resin then lay it on and roll it out...this is to work the air out of the laminate, and gets the glass into the corners...

This is Roving and Mat
