This might sound kind of "ghetto" but how about a metal frame around it. I mean you could use two peices of angle iron with holes drilled in each of the ends connected together by threaded rods on each end. Kind of like this. You could powder coat it to help prevent rust or use stainless steel. Cover it with wood trim or build a nice canopy to cover it.

that is amazing that u mentioned that. one of my friends has a metal frame around his 200 somethin gallon tank. he had his fried weld it for him.

im just gonna clean the tank completely and epoxy the bracer tomorrow. i'll try to get a look at my friend's tank and see how he did the metal frame, i ll update soon :stingray: :stingray: :stingray:

same thing happened to my 180 gallon i just cleaned off the old silicon and used new silicon to glue it back together I left the clamps on for a couple of days to let the silicon set and i havent had any problems.

you could get a replacement top, or a custom lid. But other then that id say the glass is stretched, so if u refill it or havnt unfilled it its gonna blow. So pretty much your screwed. get a new tank

Glass does not deform plasticly (stretch permanently), it only deforms elasticly (returns to original shape). As soon as it reaches its elastic limit, it will break.

The tank is fine and only needs to be repaired.
