We all have abb's but most simply never see them due to a unhealthy diet and lack of exercise.
To build a stronger more shredded set of abbs you need to work them like any other muscle, with weights but at your age i wouldn't recommend it.
Clean up your diet, up your protein intake, reduce carbs and unhealthy fats and do more cardio (jogging, cycling, etc) but don't go crazy, its best to make gradual changes.
In order to isolate and tone up your abbs do abb crunches, don't waste time and energy doing the old fashion sit ups,(all the way up to your knees then back down to the ground) they work your hip flexors and to a slight extent, your lower abdominals. Learn to do crunches.
One of the most important things to remember and something i bring up with my clients is "why they want to train" or "why they want to lose weight or gain muscle"? for those that simply want to lose weight and/or gain muscle to impress a girl or to look good in summer or on a beach i simply turn them down as with these people its simply a waste of time. Once they reach their goal, show off and summer ends they revert back to their unhealthy lifestyle.... at least until next summer when they do it all again
Being healthy and getting in to shape needs to be seen as a lifestyle, not a temporary opportunity to impress people, do it for yourself.
Just my 2 c.
