if only it could work that way....I have to be sneaky and make him think my ideas are his for them to work....:D

(actually I am very lucky and have a wonderful husband and I get my way 95% of the time :headbang2)

Good for you, if it weren't for our mates having a good sense of humor we wouldn't be here typing :D.

I tell my wife what I've bought.......eventually. ;)

You could put a piece of pond liner (epdm 45 mil) in the bottom of the "pond" and put the cave's on it.

well I threw some gravel in there, didn't by any means cover the whole bottom of the pool, but a little bit over half of it, and I had those floating clumps of grass from a guppy breeding project (they all got eaten so project is over :headbang2) and I put them in there, and now if the lights are off and the washing machine isn't going they will come out of hiding...I guess they are just trying to settle in...

I'd be kinda worried havin that in the laundry room in case some detergent goes "astray"..! Bubble pool anyone?!

Looks good - is that HOB just sitting there? Unsecured?
You like to live on the edge....!

P.S. "I am the wife" - one of my favorite quotes on MFK!
Keep up the good work......

yep, I agree it's daring and I may loose my filter, but it really isn't wobbly at all, I've banged on the rubbermaid to make sure, and it's not going to stay there for long, I just haven't had a chance to get my sponge filters in there and cycled. The ac came out of the tank they were in (ie instant cycle), and I was going to leave it in long enough to get some bb on the sponge filters I'm putting in there. I'm making our thanksgiving dinner today so I've been in the kitchen for the last two days, but I should be able to get the sponges running monday....

my husband like fish with teeth (atf's are his new obsession) but right now since I'm the one taking care of the fish, we just can't seem to find room for something like that, the catfish rule all atm :headbang2
(beautiful shovelnose in your avatar btw!!!)

just an update, this is still working out great, I have 1 sponge filter in it and still have the ac110 running on it for now, but the fish are very happy and had a big growth spurt when they got into the pool...but *knock on wood* so far no leaks, or laundry soap mishaps, and everything is doing great...

Schedule 40 PVC pipe is dence enough to sink making caves and tunnels. Also, I use PVC fittings on my pond for winter hiding spots for the goldfish. Not the best looking things, but effective and temp.
