How to on temporary houseing for fish

use your bathtub, you might smell, but water changes would be easy, just pull the drain and let the crap get sucked down.


i have actually thought of using a bathtub idea to build a tank in the future, but it seems like a good concept, mainly for the water changes.

Yeah! Ive had that thought before. It came to me when I noticed my common plecos couldn't be outside in the pond during winter.. I was told they would be fine:screwy: that was before I knew any better, anyways, I had filled up my tub and put them in there till I got a tank up for them. but you would have to do bare bottom wouldnt you? unless you don't have the gravel or sand w/e you have there near where it goes out.
 
i have used big rubbermaid type containers to temp house my fish ,and also good to use for medicating a smaller amount of water.with just a heater and a powerhead.works great.
