How to start a fish store?

Back to the stocking thing. I think i most likely going to keep searching for some wholesalers for the commons,cichlids, live bears etc. Then the more oddball things i will use TFD since they ahve good prices. I just have to drive 2hrs to toronto pick up since they do not ship to me.
What does everybody think on this.
*PS Went to big als they had mottor pups for 230.00. Looked at TFD and they ahd Motoro 3inch for 85.00

That still is not a good wholesle price for a motoro ray and 3" is also on the small side. I think that they should be closer to 4" to be sold.

On Tfd it says 3-4 so ya your right. Remember i only said i found 1 wholesale comapny that has prices stated. And right now oim just looking off Tfd and that is there price they are distributors so they buy it much cheaper.

As far as I know the prices you see on TFD are not wholesale they are there retail prices, I will tell you that if can see true wholesale prices the LFS will make you cry. Them you will want to cry even more when you see how little profit you make per fish after every thing is paid for.

I saw this a week ago. A congo tetra from wholesale you buy 200 for 50cents each, you buy a congo tetra of tfd for 5.00, (4.50 profit) or you buy it off you lfs for about 7.50 or more.

small motoro stingray wholesale price should be around $40-$50 each
I know a person (locally) that import stingray (flower, hystrix, tiger) which you rarely seen in store for a decent to cheap price... But have to wait till the wet season over first
I ordered Four 4-5" Hystrix Stingray for $300 (still waiting...) ^^

Congo Tetra is not the best choice of selling imo...
should try goldfish (not feeders) They are the number one seller here....

Also exotic fish like weird looking or MEAN killing machine... Those are THE HARDEST to sell >.>;;

you will save tons of money importing directly instead of going through tfd or the likes.
for instance one of the importers who's lists i have sells Tiger Oscars (i used a common fish) for .14 cents
