With my umbees, I usually fast them for 2-3 days once or twice a month. For the past few days, I did the same to the eartheater tank. Starved for two days and popped in only 2mm NLS. Both Xingu and Laps ate it! Whoo Hoo!
I even put in 2 massivore pellets for everyone to play with and they attacked it as well! ;-)
I've got 6 lapidifers and they're not taking pellets as of yet! Do you guys use sinking or floating pellets?

i was wondering how everybodys retros were doing! its been a month since i got mine and i havent really seen a noticable size difference maybe my xingu got a little bit bigger. still havent gotten the lapidifer on pellets though but still trying.
i will try that starting today i felt guilty of him not eating for two days when i was feeding just pellets to the tank haha the lap gets me every time when i feed pellets and when all of the other fish are done he swims to the glass looking all sad and i give in. but im cracking the whip today no more shrimp till pellets get eatinMine havent grown that much either, but I have noticed them to be more filled out. Got mine to chew and play with 3mm NLS. It's real dense and packed so they just sift it (the pellet) until its gone.
Your laps still not eating pellets? Have you tried feeding the tank JUST pellets for week, regardless if they eat or not? Thats the only way broski. ;-/
