that is the head of a 23 inch 3 pound walleye that i caught 2 years back at lake powell while night fishing for catfish, caught him using my catfish pole(when ya got 4 poles you designate them for different species) on a chunk of anchovie, the head on a single hook. he is easily my best catch, maybe the albino trout is better? there is more pix in my album about my preserved fish.
oh and too manly fish, i might preserve a baby bass or bluegill, or just a goldfish and stick it in his mouth.
I gotta agree. I wouldn't mount any fish that didn't make it to full size/maturity.
the fish died as a juvenile. whatever the circumstance of his death, you wanna keep it as a testament of failure?
wait til you keep one for 10 or 12 years and it gets to be 14". of course, at 13 years yourself, the thought of keeping a fish for 10 years must seem like an eternity.

ok thnx, i just wanted to keep him cause he was my first cichlid, and a gift from my dad. and no 10 years does not seem like eternity to me
