Basically, my rabbit snails ate my silicone.
Tank's been up for around 2 years now, rabbit snails have been in it for 1, I only just noticed the silicone on one end has been almost completely chipped away. What do I do

I am inclined towards the simple answer of reseal, but as stated before this is a very mature tank and there's going to be a lot coming out of it before I can even get to cutting off the silicone. Not sure if I'll even be able to, it looks like It'd take days to get everything out of it (mainly the ground cover and substrate) before I can safely reseal. Really my question is do I have any other options
