Basically, my rabbit snails ate my silicone.
Tank's been up for around 2 years now, rabbit snails have been in it for 1, I only just noticed the silicone on one end has been almost completely chipped away. What do I do

I am inclined towards the simple answer of reseal, but as stated before this is a very mature tank and there's going to be a lot coming out of it before I can even get to cutting off the silicone. Not sure if I'll even be able to, it looks like It'd take days to get everything out of it (mainly the ground cover and substrate) before I can safely reseal. Really my question is do I have any other options

Might just be me... but that tank looks like it could use a complete cleaning anyways (not really sure what I'm looking at all over your substrate). That being said, lose those snails, drain and clean that tank and re-seal. That's my opinion.

If the inside seams of the silicone stays intact you may be ok. How old is the aquarium?
I resealed it about two years ago

First off, what size of tank is this? Lots of people are saying things like ”it’s fine “ “don’t worry about it”.

if this is a 150g or more I disagree with that. But if it is a 20-30g or less you may have more forgiveness than that.

if you resealed it 2 years ago, I wonder how well it was done if the caulking is already stripped from the tank? What caulking did you use? I don’t know much about rabbit snails but I highly doubt they would eat silicone.
