Humble Beginnings?

For my 11th birthday I got a 60L tank. I asked for months before, my mum finally relented and said I could have a goldfish in a bowl, (My family has never kept fish!) Dad then pipes up that he'd much rather tropicals, so we had to have a bigger tank. So we got the 60L. I set it up on my birthday, and coz there wasn't a fish store for 110km I had to wait a month till shopping day before I could get my fish. Then because it was a school day I had to send dad with my tropical fish book filled with stick it notes. I sure was fun opening the stryofoam box and seeing what I actually ended up with! It was 16 years ago now, but I still remember those first fish, 2 angels, a blue gourami, a school of neons and my favourties 3 tiger barbs that never once fin nipped the angels or gorami. In fact the angels were the worst slowly picking off my neons!
I loved that tank, I still have it.

My parents kept fish since I was born and that's how I ended up here.

we had a ten gallon laying around and i got bored so i started bugging my ma if i could fill it with stuff

My cousin had a 20g I think, got jelouse of his gold fish.
found myself a scratched up 10g and bought an Oscar,
It kept growing so I kept getting it bigger tanks, up to my 180.
my cousin gave up after he figured he could'nt compete with me in this.

My dad's had fish tanks ever since before i was even born, so fish tanks were always in the household...

I've always been an avid fisherman, and when I was fishing freshwater a while ago, i was watching red fin perch swimming i was quite entranced by the sight, and decided i wanted to keep fish.

One day I just decided to buy a tank out of the blue. I have always loved fish and became addicted.

I mostly always had goldfish... I had this one 10 gallon with mollies that wouldn't stop breeding. The ex made me get rid of them to move in with him. We parted ways I got a 55 bought 1 koi then it just kept going... Oscars and a shark which no one wants lol. I'm addicted and need help lol

My much older sister kept a Jack for 10 years in a 5 gallon tank (YIKES). He was the most beautiful fish I'd ever seen (i hadn't seen many fish then) and responded to her like a dog. I wanted that fish.

bearded dragons to firebelly toads to mollies. Not sure how it happend but I apparently needed a transition into water (lizard to amphibina to fish). When the mollie population skyrocked I got my Male red Oscar to deal with it and that was about it.
