Not ideal aiming and smiling...i mean mechanically speaking...

Was not taking a jab at you. We have had ours already, need no more.

I love hunting, and respect all hunting, as long as it is not what i call supermarket hunting which is what is taking place in Africa, nowadays.

You can actually pre oder, per photo, the precise animal you are going to kill. No fun in that, for me, being full of guides ready to take the next suot and collect the tip and trophy price.

I said it as my personal opinion. I would never shoot a lion, a leopard, even a wolf.

I personnally hate the taste of game.

I do not like hunting for deer. At least the way we hunt them here ( i understand you guys hunt them differently )

In here they are chased by the dog packs and come running towards you. No challenge in that. Sometimes they stand still, quivering, stopped in front of you.

Now to chase a boar, who knows how to hide, how to stay low, and when it is the time, if needed, to turn the table on you and the dogs, is a completely different ball game.

Imho a boar has " heart and gameness " which a deer lacks...
 
I like their little juicy steaks, still a bit bloody. can not understand how ANYone could not love it.
cooked with fresh garlic. YUM!
Elk is equally good. and larger.

Last time I was at a Ronda hunt in these here parts ( Ronda is the portuguese name of lance hunting ) mobiles had no cameras in them and i confess cameras where on no ones mind at the time - a compeletely different generation :)

It was a process used for ages in Portugal and Spain, and a couple of guys of my age revived it in the Alentejo ( our wild region ).

The Ronda has decreased again mainly due to fences eveywhere now, splitting farms.

Any way, i enclose two pics of the type of lance heads used ( not mine )
