He must be tiny juding by the size of your substrate, also necro yours is awesome! I know of a guy in the UK who has a RTCXTSN about 40"

You should coax him into posting pics! I agree this one is tiny. Would be nice to see a thread of one grown from this small to mine's size or larger.

bro necro ur is a beauty. hell ya ima grow mine big. i didnt even kno that my fish guy had these till a friend of mine told me bout them.

yah i wanted to get him small so i could watch him grow, they had bigger ones i wanted baby.

awesome hybrid!!

A question, everyone .... these hybrids ( i have seen a few on MFK) they seemed to sometimes resemble RTCs or TSNs. Clearly, necrocanis' looks more RTC-dominant while synrgst's is more TSN-dominant. Do all cross-overs always come out looking like RTC as they grow or it really depends.

Are these sterile?

PS: cute little cat ^^ i definitely agree that a thread should be kept alive with updates as da small fella grows ^^

I'd suggest changing the substrate so the catfish will be more comfortable with its environment. The pebbles are far too rough for it. Nice fish.

The Substrate is fine... it won't take long before he'll be big enough to eat those rocks... (and he prob will try!!)

I've never seen these guys look more like a TSN or a RTC as adults... and they always go through the same growth pattern of looking like this little fella and then morphing into the beastly shape of Necro's BigBoy... All 5 of mine are doing or already done so... there is a size of around 5" when they start their morph, Most TSN owners who have owned them since 2-4" would understand the "akward stage" that they go through when they look really REALLY Goofy... same thing with the RTC/TSN Hybrid except that when they come out of that stage they are a different looking fish
