I’ve known folks get a brand new one for free as long as it was within the warranty period. There’s no repairs for a broken heater just replacement
I might just throw 100 dollars into a coblat heater or 50 idk how much it is for a 55

This is what I do, because I have never found any one brand to be better than another, the harsh conditions the heaters create within themselves, and the use of cheap materials used to keep them with a margin where people will buy them does not allow for longevity.
If any heater lasts over a year, I consider that a normal life span, some live longer some less.

I agree running multiple heaters > just one heater is the best thing to do... it creates a sort of safety net if anything goes wrong...

i mean i’ve also had heaters that lasted me years while others have failed miserable deaths in months and its almost always the secondary heaters that helped keep things going in my tanks...

When running multiple heaters in one tank, you should get a heater controller. This will prevent one heater from doing all the work.
