Hydrolycus Tatuaia and the great mystery?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
wait not what I was thinking and niether is the fish in the pic though equally cool. I will start another thread so as not to highjack this one any longer.

I could be wrong but I thought it was Woody's tank and the fish was close to 2 foot (little large for the common Mala) and disclosed as a Lac.

The fish that I was thinking of is not the fish in the tank, I know this now after looking up Hoplias Lacardae, and I'm not disputing that that is the fish in the tank. The pics I saw had different coloring but were also not of the size or maturity of the fish the tank. I posted a thread with the video of the fish I originally thought was the fish in the pic.

Wow... Pretty bold statement.....

WHY is that?

i wasn't refering to you DB. But i am sure there is a crack house somewhere in IOWA.

I was talking about the person who thought that the wolf was a dorado.

Sorry i should have layed that out differently.

I had a tat I got when it was about 4" and I got rid of it a couple inches/ months later.
JD7.62 had it and traded it for a massive thinbar dat and it was about 10-11". That may have been a year or so later. I'll dig up pix if I can find them.

Fantastic

I think the biggest going right now by a member is around 9" sadly. But there may very well be some members that have them and just aren't as fanatical about them as they should be :D and share some pics.

Do you recall how long it took to go from 4" to 10-11"?
