I think you can keep one in a 55 for quite some time, I feel they don't grow as fast as oscars though
I see what you're saying and understand.CTU2fan;2398227; said:Yeah it would be fine for awhile, and strictly speaking you could probably keep it in there...but when I look at mine (around 10" or so) I think he'd be pretty cramped in a 55.
Thats been established.Gage;2399085; said:definitely not the 35 for more then a very little while, the 55 would last him a long time, but i would not keep him in there permanently.

I'm wdiner what WOULD be a good center piece CA/SA? I've thought about Rotkeils, but they seem a big too big. I don't really want to do rams/appistos, thought about Salvini, but then I'd probably end up with a single fish.

i didnt realize there was a second page, so i just hit the respond button, sorry for repeating the obvious.
are you looking for a center piece for the 35? if so, maybe a Festivum cichlid, like in my post. they would be fine in a 35, at least for a loooooong time.
are you looking for peaceful or aggressive?
maybe a pair of keyholes? and angel fish? any cichlid that stays under 6".
