I do agree that you need one massive tank to properly house them as they are pretty active unlike piranha and get big fast (the jardini I had hit 18" in about 1 year and I got him at 4". cuz I fed him like a pig, lol). but isn't that the whole point of MFK? we don't call ourselves MONSTER FISH KEEPERS for nothing~!!

Despite our room limitations yes, we are Mfkrs....

I've had a few opportunities to own some Aro's but I know how big they get... I don't even think a 150g is truly big enough.

you know what u guys say about just keeping p's on how u would never keep anything else. i just like the way cichlids go about their day over p's. and how instead of when they fight they just rip each other in half its more life a fist fight than a knife fight(piranha with the knives, average cichlid's fist fight) and just general behavior.
ive kept both.
as far as p's go i kept rbp gold spilo and black rhom and i loved the sheer beauty of each and the brutality.
but anyways dude have fun with ur cichlids bro. just like i am :P.
but im in hopes of settin up my 29g with some wimples :o

minimum size requirement would be 180g, but personally if I ever go with aro again it would be a 30" to 36"wide (at least) and a 6-8ft length wise.

SO! DIO, do you miss the Piranha yet??? LOL
