congrats!!! love hearing when people get their dream fish.

wheres the feeder turtle???

lol

Beautiful.

Congrats

Wow ... thanks for the comments bros! :D

The tank is around 200G (6.5x2x2). I know some people might not think that's enough for all those fish in the long run, but I believe that if a fish is kept in clean water, given enough to eat, and isn't killed by other fish ... then it's as "happy" as it will ever get.

I some of you guys will disagree withe the above. Please feel free to get your worries off your chest, but keep it respectful..

I'll try and answer all the other Qs individually now...

Nice dude, hurt your wallet much??

Just a little bro... ;)

It's actually 10x more expensive than my next most expensive fish... (azul and frontosa)

That is 1 helluva tank! With some beautiful fish!  What size it?

Those are incredible pictures not only of the red but all the monsters put together.. how does it all work out with them.. honestly does it work out.. that is an awesome amount of predators in together.. so beautiful your pictures .. like looking at a fish atlas.. almost perfect pictures..and congradulations..on that magnificient Arow.

Surprisingly, it does. I haven't lost a fish in this tank in around a year, and there usually aren't too many fights.

There's quite a lot of aggression now, but I'm hoping that it will settle down. Ive found in the past, that when I add another fish (especially a big meanie) the whole dynamic in the tank changes for a while and there are much more fights.

A lot of the big fish have got scratches now, but they leave the smaller guys (loaches and catfish) alone.

I also add blackwater, aloe and garlic extracts on a weekly basis. Some people think that these help reduce aggression..

she's beautiful! Your Jardini is nice too! Does the jar get along with everyone?

The jar is actually the p*ssy of the three arosa dnis scared of the other two. The red looks like it's gonna be the alpha, even though the greenie is much bigger and the jar is slightly longer than it..

Hahaha ... They're swimming in my mates pond on his balcony. Unless his goldfish are monsters too ... in that case they're decomposing in a killer goldfish's stomach right not!

:D

Oh btw ... the day I bought the SR I took my water to the fish shop to be tested for nitrites and nitrates (well I also wanted then to test for ammonia, but I couldn't convince then to open a test kit for it).

The nitrate sample came back clear ... ZERO! There was a little color in the nitrite sample, but not even enough for it to be classified as the first level, and according to the box the first two levels are still fine for fish.

I'm not sure if I trust the tests though ... especially the nitrate. The LFS didn't really konw what they were doing. They didn't even have a nitrate test kit open and they had to read all the instructions before doing the test.

I'm thinking of taking a sample to a professional water testing company (if there is such a thing) and have a full range of tests run on it..
