Well, with all the excitement over the other fish spawning, I let this little guy's one week milestone go by! He's still taking frozen brine and mysis shrimp, and I found a very tiny silverside in the set I was thawing out for the bichirs, so he got to have that, which is what is making the lil' lump on his side there. Not even a week and this guy is completely converted off live food! Hallelujah! Next step: getting him to like Massivore. :)

It's getting hard to take photos of him from the side, he likes the camera too much! Vain little sucker KNOWS he's good lookin', haha!

I don't know anything about p-bass but that is a really pretty fish that just seems to grow before our eyes ....the difference in the first 3 days was incredible.

It's the 1 month mark since I've picked him up! He's grown a little bit over an inch, has started getting red in his fins, and has started to take Massivore. :headbang2

It's kind of hard to photograph him, because as soon as the camera comes out, he is right at the glass, gazing at me. GAZING. GAZING.

I actually really like this picture because you can see the sensory pores under the skin on his skull here. :) We were waiting each other out, and I think he was starting to get a little bored...

But that meant it was time to get pictures of his flanks, which is what everyone on here wants to see anyway. He is very interactive, and flashes his black coloration off and on in time to me raising and lowering the camera lens. He was probably a little bit spooked since I had just done a water change.

Thank you. ::)

I'm trying to not overfeed him. I have to think about my end game too. At the moment, I would need to give up two of the farmies in the 300 gallon if I want to get him some buds. I was ALL over Atlanta that first night I found him, was hoping to pick up some buds for him. We'll see what pops up today, about to go cruise the shops while out on errands.
