I believe it is legal, every sks i have seen in real life in california (honestly not too many) has a bayonet, including all for sale at the gun show i went to, but i will have to look into that.

bring it to fl so you can feel 30 rds at once.lol
laws are odd.
there you can only have 10rd but you can have bayonet on.
here you can have a freeking barrel or a 30rd clip but no bayonet.
lol :screwy:

It is legal to keep the bayonet on it as it is not detachable. On the other hand a Yugo 59 /66 (SKS) is classified as a destructive weapon in the same vein as an RPG in the peoples republic of Kalifornia.

Very nice and clean gun BTW.. She is a real beauty and in excellent shape!!!
Very nice pick up.

Not an SKS but I did pick up this little WWII Russian beauty over the weekend. It's a Mosin Nagant 91/30. This is the sniper rifle from the moive "Enemy at the Gate". It's in great shape and has all matching numbers. Hopefully the weather clears up this week so I can shoot it.

Beautiful firearm!! Thanks for sharing, i have heard mixed things about mosin nagants though, not cocking or shooting well is what i believe it was, depending on model. looks good though! :headbang2 :headbang2

Nice to see you finally picked one up.. Looks like a nice midwar refurb edition..
Is that a Tula or Ishvesk?? Not that it really matters but you got your sling on backwards :P

Some are rather well worn out and used so one needs to check them well. The chinese carbines were junk so this is where a lot of complaints come in. The Russian and Finnish guns are very solid and very well made.

A few of my Russian guns are in this pic..

Lol, you know I was in such a hurry that I put the sling on backwards after I removed it again to clean off some more cosmoline that I found on it. The kit that came with it was cramed into a plastic bag and some stuff got greased. :irked: The bayonet that came with it is in great shape though. I will do some research on it at find out where it's from. I know that it was made in '43.
