There are lots of ways outside of school to pursue your interests too, definitely consider volunteering at organisations that pique your interest!

The best advice I can give to a young 14 year old lad, and this is coming from a 52 year old bloke who, regrettably, never fulfilled his true potential at school, is that your time at school, especially at your age, is a relatively short period of time that literally shapes the rest of your life. It is that serious, and should be taken so.

Get your head down, study, study and study some more. Get the qualifications you need to get the good job you want.

Get to bed now, I won't tolerate such insubordination! Lol,

That's because us dad's know, and most of the time, trying to get important things through to our kids, to help them along in life, is an impossible task. I truly believe that the young brain just isn't developed well enough for young high school aged kids to realise, and truly grasp, the importance of school and how it shapes the future you.

This is true. Much of the time we are too stubborn for our own good, myself included

Yes I can relate to this too I may have a very sarcastic nature at times and that gets me in trouble

It may be good thing I’m one of those people who can still get good grades meanwhile having fun!?

Your school sounds like a place for those who want to study. I'm 23yrs our of High School and 20yrs out of trade school and 17yrs from College and I don't remember what my GPA was in high school and it hasn't stunted my growth professionally either. College GPA I do remember but same deal it hasn't kept me from getting hired. You can be the lazy 4.0 student that doesn't have to work or the lazy 2.0 student who won't. At the end of the day you have the same person, lazy. Work hard, do your best, and don't compare yourself to your peers.

That and we have probably already made most of the mistakes you are about to make and would like to see you avoid them.
