Have you done a test hole yet to see how deep the water table is?

i plan to but i dont want to dig till i know its the spot im picking.lol

i seen a pond nearby that was the size i want.
i seen water in it so thats good.
bad thing was seeing the monster dirt pile around it.
i went thinking i thought i was going to do this by hand.


for the ones just tuning in,i posted a pic of a new spot i might use on the last page.

Screen = our soil, so if you can get water to stay in our top soil you can make a tank out of screen wire.

How close is this one going to be to the established one? You could pump and drain water from the established pond to the new one.

Since you've scouted two locations and your going to have a bachhoe anyway...hint...hint. The first one could be for practice

Don't forget to dig the bog too.

Any chance you can dig them while the parents are gone?

pump water from pond to a mini house that houses the filter,that has a water wheel on the side,then that dumps into a rocky stream that flows back to the pond.
and the water wheel can power a generator that will power the pump.

Get a piece of 3" PVC and poke some holes arounf the pond 3" deep, then get some kids putter golf clubs and the place could pay for it's self...Mom could sell Kool Aid
