Why get in debt for a $400 Aquarium? you dont have a job yet and you dont know when you are going to get one... your friends may eventually get tired of not getting paid and it will probly be difficult to sell the aquarium for the $400 so it is just better to be safe then sorry...

borrowing from friends normally ends a friendship especially in a long term loan like yours.

well i go to school and i know im getting a job in summer. sorry to say but it is not hard to sell a 240 gallon tank lots of people want it. thats why if you have true friends they dont give a F*** about when they get their money back aslong as they get within a year. you must be a crappy friend or have some crappy friends if your friendships breaks up from a loan. busting some scandalous stuff or something.

having friends like you who cant trust others usually breaks up freindships. im glad your not my friend

I have seen money destroy a family. So I agree relationships can be killed when money is involved.

If you are a trust worthy person and are good friends you could be fine.

Dude its not about trust or being/having good friends, you just havent lived long enough to learn this harsh lesson, and I hate to say it but one day you will learn that the age old saying's "Nothing will destroy a relationship faster than cash" "Blood and money don't mix" etc are there for a reason.

To the OP, I would not worry about getting the cash for a big boy tank you can always make money. Lawn work was always a bread winner for me, but if I were you I would be more concerned about your parents and if they will let you keep a 240+ gallon, space eating, utility meter spinning money pit under their roof.

You may have have to sell your 55 and 75 the get a down payment together. But sooner or later through persistance and patience it'll pay off........
