This is horrendous. And there is no way fish would enjoy living in that compared to a nice tank with driftwood and plants.

You should find the kid that owns that tank and scream really loud at them.

Fine, maybe the fish don't care. But think about it, what would you rather live in? Something that mimics your natural habitat, or something as horrendous as this?

I would take a "happy cartoon land" over my "natural habitat" all day long. My habitat aka job sucks... I agree with Jose, at least this is better than the bare bottom tanks any day.. At least for the fish. I would set my kid up with a tank like that in a heartbeat.

In all reality this is probably some 40 year old lady's tank. I see more adult customers with spongebob tanks than I do kids.

Sad thing is, there is a 75% chance that this tank will become a Malawi cichlid aquarium.

Come on man, you're telling me you'd refuse to set up a sponge bob tank for your 4yr old who's just getting interested in the fish-keeping hobby? Just because it isn't something that appeals to you?

I would refuse to setup a sponge bob tank because it looks incredibly tacky and is a terrible environment for fish IMO. Fish should have plants and should not have colorful gravel.
