I feel for you Doug. Sure wish you could have a big tank because you're a monster fish keeper at heart. You must take back the JD for now though.

well does anyone now how big jellybean cons get cause in the end i may hve my male JB con if he can reach 4 inches going with my male black con and getting rid of my female JB con. but if red jewls wont work then can i add a firemouth? they have them at wally world and for 4.00 a firemouth. and i am really thinking of getting one or 2.

or this is a though. what about a single texas?

I believe the bare minimum for one is 55g.

ok then thats out of my plan. any other cichs that i can have as a wetpet for a 29?? it can be just one. what bout a salvini?? anything else?

I keep a Rainbow Cichlid with my F.Convict in a 29g, along with fancy guppies heh

Now it gets chased, but occasionally does have frayed fins. But my only other tank is a 55g.

I cannot put them in my 55g, they both have been injured/wounded by my grammodes.

Nah would rather see healthy fish, my Convict still has swim bladder problems.

well i think i made up my mind..
1 male con
2 firemouths ( pick out the best looking one in the end )
4 mollys ( 1 male 3 females )
8 more tiger barbs to add to my 2 i have to make a total of 10.
6 giant danios

and maybe MAYBE if its doable then one jewl. or if not the jewl i can replace him with my pink male JB con if he can get to 4 inches.

Please don't do that cb. Jewels are way too aggressive. The last one I had in a 29 with a con was psychotic. Also all those dither are unnecessary and actually will not draw the aggressiveness away from the other cichlids. Having 10 tiger barbs and 6 giant danios would add too much to the bio load.

You really need to keep getting rid of fish, not continue to get more. Earlier in this thread I thought you were finally getting the hang of stocking, but now you are headed in the opposite direction again.

That being said if you want different fish, ultimately it is your decision, however, there are many fish, and cichlids that will work better than some of the ones you are suggesting in your 29.
