Should work. It should say 1% or less of: ____ on the back
You are not removing nitrites by adding salt. The chloride ion in NaCl (salt) will be processed by the fish's gills instead of toxic Nitrite. Nitrite poisoning causes brown gill disease.

Ok I will to add it in the aquarium right now. When I add it in do I just dump it in all at once or try to spread it around?

DIssolve in tank water first!@ Then pour in the solution near the filter output. Don't do it all at once, something like 25% and see how fish react, then add 25% an hour later.

Ok so 2ppm of nitrites in my 60 gallon aquarium and .25 ppm of nitrites in my 5 gallon aquarium. I have already added 45 grams of salt to my 60 gallon aquarium. Since the smaller aquarium is now showing sign of nitrites should I be adding some salt to that aquarium, and is there anything else I should be thinking of for both aquariums?
