i think that was completely messed up and wrong. the fish only do what they are preprogrammed to do. it's bad enough they get taken out of their natural homes, are born in an unatural place,....... all they wanna do is eat, get big and breed, it's the natural instinct to survive. when i got a new silver aro and the other tank mates gobbled up the food first, I moved the silver aro to another tank by itself and once it settled in, and was comfortable with me feeding it and recognized home, master and feeding time, i put it back in with all the other fish. that's the least you should've tried doing first. good luck in the future and hope you wise up a little. it's not the fish's fault

I think you are very regretful deep inside about what you have done. That's why you tell it here and wait for approval. If you dont get any approval, you will divert your anger that originally caused by your remorse and distress to people that judge you here and feel relieved. That being said I dont have anything to say to you here.

everyone makes mistakes dont make such a big deal out of this.

Umm, WOW! Why did it make you so mad that he ate the food?? Isn't that what fish do?? I understand you did try and find them homes first, and this was a last resort (better ways of going about it) but whats done is done, why was him eating food what got you so upset??

This bores down more to you having 7 convicts, and 6 Loaches in a 35G, fry/juvies or not.

For a species with solid reasoning and thought process, you shouldn't have snapped at the fish you're looking after for being instinctive. I can understand the need to get rid of Convicts, but there's more humane ways to do it than sticking the poor things in scalding hot water.

Also consider that your new loach wasn't eating due to stress, I hardly think you flaring your net around in the tank in an anger fit will have helped the cause.

Think before you do, next time. Consider also staying away from easy breeding fish if you don't have the patience, resources or time to deal with them.

i agree
