Idiot. I don't care if your 14 or 42. You are an idiot for doing what you did. Try picking on something your own size.
I don't think it's ok that you watched fish that you intended to raise squirm to death for 10-15 second each. It's not humane.
You did not do something good.
You do not deserve a pat on the back for being "open and honest".
You have freaking issues.
Work on them, lest some poor animal suffers at your hands for doing something natural instinct has programmed it to do.

Either way, I tried for months to offload them to a LFS and via the internet. I cannot feed them to a larger fish and I think that a 2" TL convict wouldnt die instantly being smashed against a wall. My parents would not get me clove oil as I've asked them but they refused. I take everyones post's seriously and realise what I've done but I dont regret it. Again, they would of caused more harm them good longer down the track.
Just for the record, the loach I was trying to get to eat was a brand new purchase with a small pinch in its stomach from the day I've brought it. The rest of the other loaches continue eat.

It's pretty much all been said, but I just want you to count out 15 seconds and then think about how long it would take to just chop its head off with a knife... or do you not have a knife either. There are no excuses for what you did and you should be ashamed.

Mystix.....You know better. We all do effed up stuff at one point or another, we just don't post about it. Sounds like the way a squeamish person would kill something. You have given better advice as to how to euthanize a fish then what you have just displayed. I/we are not your parents, but we all share a mutual respect with one another and this really is over the line....I do not hate you or feel any different, I just wish you would not have done it in the first place.
All that being said, learn from this MISTAKE and do not let it happen again. Repeat offenses deserve the flames you are getting now, not the first offense.
PS Flaming and name calling makes you just as wrong as mystix here....Just in your own different way.......

A "squeamish" person would not WATCH a fish squirm to death in hot soapy water. Not 3 times over.
You can certainly kill a fish instantly using the stun method (bashing). You just have to know how. Basically you just don't hesitate. Fast and hard.
If you can't use clove oil then severing the spinal column at the base of the head in one swift hack would be the next best option.
I've put fish down twice. I'm not squeamish but it was not fun knowing I'd be putting down a fish I've watched grow from practically fryhood, didn't matter if I liked the fish or not.
Killing a fish cause you're angry with it...it's just not rational.
