Down here soft plastics, spinner baits, and other weedless baits are best and most popular. Its simply too weedy to throw a non-weedless lure. Besides bass live very TIGHT to cover. My dats remind me of bass. They lay in ambush right next to the drift wood or what ever in my tank like I would imagine bass would do.

Have you ever used 10-12" tesxas rigged plastic worms? That is one of the hottest things right now. These worms are HUGE and youd think nothing could eat it but I swear Ive got 6" bass on a 12" worm!

I dont have a boat but I fish alot with people that have them. I do ALOT of wade fishing in streams and rivers for small mouth.

I should research on that texas rigged worm.

I typically go for the minnow shaped suspending type lures. So far I've had the most success with them. I try other cheaper brands too if they look like they have good flash etc etc but they just don't move the sam in the water :irked:

i've never really fished any soft plastics over 6", i was doing good at the flats with spinners a couple days ago.

i don't have one ethier, but that will be a larger purchase in the future, i currently just take my friends $60,000 bass boats out for a spin, doing 70 on the water is crazy. i don't have that kinda money right now though:(

in WA the word "Spinners" is also used for the Vibrax Spinners:

Now these I think are great. Never caught bass on them but I've caught LOTS of trout on them. They are used here in WA for Trout and Salmon mostly.

it's pretty much the exact oppisite for me on the east coast, i've wanted to try the larger spinners for muskie though, i use the other kind for bass out here.

I use mostly luckycraft now and big swimbaits. I kno that the luckycrafts are alot of money but I think there great baits and they make a amazing jerk baits. Then when you start buying swimbaits your money just flys away.

I use the "KISS" principle even when fishing.:naughty:

Don't want to spend too much time giving the fish too many alternatives to decide when and what to strike.

I usually go out with no more than two different lures on two different tackles for my fishing sessions. If no strike happen I just move on to a different spot or simply change the speed or pattern of the retrieve.

Recently shifted to Raps to give the fish a better fighting chance. The fish are also much easier to get off the hooks when landed. Giving my MirroLures a well deserve vacation. The local fish are no match to them and it was getting boring.:D
