I need a new Monitor

Either way people(including myself) told you it would take LOTS of time. Of course there are people out there that have 'tame' monitors but those people took the TIME(as in waaay more than 2months) to really work with those animals and they did the proper amount of research about what they were getting into.
Also ive seen more nasty savs than tame ones so think long and hard about that before you go get one and get disappointed again. Im not trying to be mean here but it just kills me when people give up so easily and have barely spent any time actually trying to work with what they have and yet theyre ready to move on to the next..

Im sorry it's just very disappointing every day when you try and your not successful. Like for example, my lizard won't tong feed unless he is in a specific cave and he won't tong feed if he is out in the open but he never goes in this cave, the only cave he feels comfortable tong feeding from. He's usually out in the open. So like I pinch a cricket with some tongs, I slowly open the tank lid and lethargically inch the tongs towards him, hold the cricket near his mouth for a few mins, and then I give up and feel like I got nothing accomplished because he didn't take it. Do you have a solution to this?
