Is this fish in the same tank that your Red Isletas was in? I'm not sure what happened, but I do know that if I get ick in any of my tanks I do NOT use medicine at all. I just add salt and raise the temp to 86 for a couple of weeks. That always has done the trick for me. Just my personal exp though. Maybe the medicine has something to do with both fish... if they were in the same tank that is.

10-4, I went back and looked at the pictures and yes it does not look the same. Is it possible the medicine did not work? Or maybe it is a reaction to the medicine is all?

i was thinking that too but all the other fish are doin fine.... i just dont want to lose another fish..

Did you take this fish out and put it in your hospital tank? Since none of the other fish are showing any signs this might be a good move. I would move it to the other tank and treat it there. Does the white stuff look like ick (salt crystals) or does it look fluffy like cotton? It is hard to tell in the pic.

its thin and like hanging like he is peeling or something and it doesnt look like ick or open sores.... i want to move him but my tiny festae are in the other tank they will probably become snacks..... and my heater in that tank only has a max temp of 82

i have no clue either its just he just lays their all day he has been like this for 2 days i dont want to lose him i hope someone else can help...... i have a friend with an empty 10 gallon right now im probably gonna give them to him for a week and put the midas in the 20 and just put salt inn there

Did you recently add a new fish? If so, were they quarantined before you introduced them to your existing stock or did they go straight into your main tank?

I noticed in the pictures of your red isleta that it also appeared to be peeling and its eyes were cloudy. Now that you have a second fish showing signs of peeling, it's probably safe to say that you introduced something into your tank. This definitely doesn't look like ich.

You say your other fish are fine, but this is two in a row in a short time. It's possible that they're just not all getting sick at once. Sometimes it takes a while for the infection to spread.

I don't have any clue as to what it might be, but I think it's safe to say that you've got something in your tank. You can get an empty 10 gallon for $10 at Walmart and usually an empty 20 gallon at somewhere like Petco for about $20. All you need is a sponge filter and heater and you have a quarantine/hospital tank. I think that would be a wise investment for the future.
