Did you recently add a new fish? If so, were they quarantined before you introduced them to your existing stock or did they go straight into your main tank?

I noticed in the pictures of your red isleta that it also appeared to be peeling and its eyes were cloudy. Now that you have a second fish showing signs of peeling, it's probably safe to say that you introduced something into your tank. This definitely doesn't look like ich.

You say your other fish are fine, but this is two in a row in a short time. It's possible that they're just not all getting sick at once. Sometimes it takes a while for the infection to spread.

I don't have any clue as to what it might be, but I think it's safe to say that you've got something in your tank. You can get an empty 10 gallon for $10 at Walmart and usually an empty 20 gallon at somewhere like Petco for about $20. All you need is a sponge filter and heater and you have a quarantine/hospital tank. I think that would be a wise investment for the future.

Great advice, that way as soon as you see a fish is not well you have somewhere to put it.

Just remember, each fish is different in how it's affected by disease. What have you recently added to your tank?

i will be getting a quarantine tank soo i have spare filters and heaters...... but the red isleta looked different to me he had open sores the midas has his color still it just looks like some thin peeling

If you go back and look at the isleta, you can still see white skin sloughing off of it. It appears very similar to this fish. In discus it's often referred to as "columnaris," but this is often a blanket term for any number of diseases that cause the slime coat to peel away. I have no idea how to diagnose or treat it, I just wanted to share the opinion that it's an illness rather than damage from fighting like you spectulated with the isleta. Also, like I mentioned before, I do not think this is ich. This looks a lot worse than ich. I could be wrong, though.

heres a pic of when it had ick last week i treated it and raised the temp then a few days later i did a 50% water change and added salt i think it might have to do with the medicine?? i just cant afford to lose another fish i just got these a week and a half ago paid a lot of $$ for rapps to ship to cali now i lost one have one sick and the other one is fine.

I would guess a secondary bacterial infection, instigated by the primary external parasite infection. Basically, ich bores tiny holes in the flesh of fish, which leaves them vulnerable to bacterial infection. You can get rid of the ich, but the bacteria is still there. Does that make sense?

IME columnaris hasn't looked like skin peeling exactly, it looks like white slime with small stringy trails coming off the fins. Hard to tell from the OP pics. I treated it successfully with kanamyacin.

Good news is most bacterial infections are treated similarly. You should actually take the heat down if it's columnaris, it grows much faster at high temps. This is an issue if you were trying to treat a different disease with high heat, obviously (one of the reasons I don't like heat/salt treatments sometimes). Research different pics of bacterial infections, and treat with the recommended antibiotic.

Looking at the pics from last week and these newer ones it looks like a massive infestation of ick. I’ve seen fish look like this before. These are also the fish that were delayed in arrival, aren’t they? This is more than salt and heat will handle. Imo it’s time for the meds, API Super Ick Cure is good and will also help with secondary bacterial infections. Like the others have said, Isolate this fish in a hospital tank. However, you will also need to treat the main tank at this point too. Once you have the fish isolated and medicated in the hospital tank, do a 50% WC in the main tank and add meds to that also.

I already used api super ick cure and it got rid of all the white dots but this looks different than ick And no other fish is getting it i hav no clue wat it is i lowered the temp a little and i just did a 50% water change about 4 days ago after treating the fish with the super ick cure. Then i just added some salt and it seems the midas is like peeling it doesnt look lick ick and it doesnt hav open sores.
