Ok so i am thinking about switching things up because i want a really aggressive tank. so he is my thought. In the spring when i get my 240 this is what i might do.

240g (lots of filtration and twice a week water changes) central american aggressive with some of these
mayan cichlid
Tilapia buttikoferi
ex 'Cichlasoma' istlanum 'red'
Vieja argentea
jag (possibly)
the 2 convicts from my 100g ( should be fine the males a brute)
Green terror (not central)
and others (SUGGESTIONS?)

then put then combine the oscars and jack with everyone in the 125 in a 180G

Put the red devil in the 100g.

What do you Think?

also i might be getting a 3.5" mayan for free could i add him to the 100g for a few months? I don't have any problem with nitrates their 20 or below.

Thanks for reading and commenting.

I just can't imagine u being happy with how many ripped fins there are going 2 be. I personally hate ripped fins which is why I stick to peaceful/semi aggresive communities

Go monster or go home!! :D :headbang2

Your 100g is going to be pretty heavily stocked considering your 3 full grown o's alone are already overstocking it. I would make it your first priority to upgrade them first.

red oscars 11"
both albinos 9"
Jack 5.5"
green terror 3.5"
convicts 5" 2.5"

oscars don't really fight i have watched for an hour atleast once a week. nitrates are 20 or below no one really fight, plus they like one side of the tank.

every post that I have read on here or researching oscars on the net Most say basically the same thing a Single Oscar needs 65-70 gallon tank for a pair 100-125 for a pair and your wanting to put 3 full grown oscars in a 100 ?? just giving my opinion like you asked way over stocked it is not the fact that they get along it is the fact they do eat alot they produce a ton of waste .... in hte end it is your tank you can do with it what you wnt ....

i'm not trying to be rude but did you read the thread? im not putting them in there, their already there. I asked if i could put 3 oscars and a jack then the stocking of the 125 in a 180g. I feed little portions, so don't produce nearly as much waste.

i just saying it sounds to me like you are eventually going to end up with a jag in one corner a buttikofferi in the other and a bunch of other shredded cichlids
