I need your help on a decision and suggestion, please read.

Never heard of a 240 that was 6' I figured the were all 8' since a 220 is a 6'. Those are what I want but at the end of the 240 suggestion I said any others. I would love to have all of those fish but I know I can't. When I reread it after I posted it, it was to late to edit it. I thank you for your suggestion, I wasn't trying to be defensive but to clearify everything.
Also that's a nice piece of wood. Where did u get it?
I know I want to do as a stocking so far of:
carpintis
Mayan
green terror
convict pair
what else?
 
OOOOPS!!!! Sorry I effed up, yeah I was thinking about 220's haha sorry... I got my tree stump from good ol' mother nature... I had to cross a fridgid river with it and then bring it home... That would be a nice tank, get a pair of Escondido's and instead of the Mayan get Festae, I think they are nicer. Those two fish would compliment eachother in the tank and a pair of Cons would be cool too... You still have lots of room after that, so you could probably get.... Well almost anything except for the extreme fish like Dovii, Umbie, or the forementioned Istlanum.. Some Beani might work, but would need to be raised separately from the rest of the fish... A grammodes might be cool, You could even keep one of your Oscars in there to be kinda a keeper of the peace...
 
Ow ok. That's cool. That sounded like fun. I need to try and find one like that because that's amazing. Ya I already have the f1 cons, I also have the green terror and I'm getting a free Mayan so I can't complain. I don't know on the pair but I would like one. I also forgot that I am going to get a veija argentea because they are stunning.

possible an Oscar
what else, it would be from rapps.
Something not huge and something I don't have to worry aggression that bad. Want something sweet looking. You got anything else.
 
Blue Labridens those things are sexy!
 
I kept a large male blue labriden once and it wasn't a good community fish at all. If I were you I'd add 3-5 3" grammodes to your new stock. They take forever to get big but when they do they look amazing.

they are 1 of the best 'real' cichlid community fish IME.
i have 1 14"+ male and 1 8" male which ate through tens of his own brothers and sisters, along with many other fish that can easily fit in the bigger male's mouth in a 260 with no problems, just keep his tummy full, you should be alright.
 
I though Grammodes were crazy like mini-dovii
what my stock is going to be is:
1 green terror
2 convicts
1 Mayan
1 carpintis
1 Veija argentea
1 Salvini
1 Lysoni
1 Cuban or grammodes
couple cutteri as dithers
what do you think?
Which should i choose Cuban or Grammodes
 
Grammodes and Salvini are quite small.. I would try and get a few of each that would be cool. Like 3 of each in the end. Cubans are a pretty large fish once full grown, unlike Grammodes. Thats a big tank so you can have quite a few small fish in there with some bigger ones. I would do 2 GT, 3 Sals, Mayan, Veija, Cons, a handful of pictus cats, Escondido or two..... That would be sufficient, I think... Not sure though, never owned that sized tank.
