What I don't understand is, why doesn't MFK have a PLACE to put positive and negative experiences with vendors, or individuals... Other leading websites do. This gives people the opportunity to post their experiences, and allow other people to make their own judgment based on others' experiences before purchasing stuff from whichever vendor or person. Maybe they are just too well connected wink wink wink - Ebay, Gardenweb, are just two of many major sites that have this option.

Maybe somewhere in this 6 page thread is a response from TFD and I just missed it. But if not Could TFD please post so we can hear from both sides.

Yeah, we need TFD to ring in for any conclusion to be reached. That will probably have to wait for the morning though. Make sure to tune in tomorrow for the exciting conclusion!

First off, my apologies for the spamming. I've never posted before, and didn't know that was against the rules. That's not an excuse, just an explanation, and it won't happen again. I am really not trying to scam anyone here. I know you can't really trust anything or anyone on the internet, but all I want replaced is the elephant nose, one angel and the two featherfins. More have died, but Joe's policy is only live arrival, and I know I'm responsible for them. If I were really trying to scam him, wouldn't I ask for more than just a few fish?

aranos.... repairs comments about spamming were not directed towards you. They were directed toward the other members actions of a week ago. Were he posted his complaints in 4 different forums.

there has been multiple threads started by him as well. It's annoying. I dont have a problem with anyone sharing their experience, but I've seen multiple threads on this topic.

I think they were, I posted links to this thread in the knifefish forum (the best!) and the general discussion forum because I didn't think most people read the venders forums that much.

Most of the people that I know read all new posts.

I did the same thing, thinking the same, hoping to alert as many MFK's as possible of a negative experience - and see what happens? The thread gets closed... "Nothing wrong with sharing experiences" eh?
I seriously think that the fact that this has happened twice in the last week calls for a new forum where people can TRULY share their "yea or nay" experiences without bickering going back and forth. Just a forum where people can post a vendor, or individual name and say "Great experience!" or "bad experience" with a brief description of what made it a good, or bad experience. Not necessarily a blaming game. Even good vendors mess up once in a while. That's a given. But if we don't have such a forum, we may never know if a particular vendor messes up 25 times, as opposed to once.

I think a new forum for customer experiences would be good. One bad vendor can ruin it for all of us vendors. When I say bad I mean a vendor who has gotten so big that they have forgotten about customer service and sh**ts on the little guy, not a vendor who has a bad day and makes a mistake, cause lord knows all of us do at one point in time. For instance some fish no matter how good you pack them and prepare them, they will not make the trip. But to sit back and say oh well your lose makes all of us vendors look bad, not just him.

NE Cichlids has hit it on the head - Exactly... Like I said, everyone messes up sometimes - but an unprofessional attitude as both of the customers in question had experienced, gives vendors in general a bad name... NE Cichlids has definitely earned my respect, and future business.

Posting multiple threads saying the same thing is regarded as spamming, which is against the board rules, hence the closing of the repeat threads.

A grievance forum in theory is great, however, it has been tried and results in nothing but flaming, lynch mobs and airing of dirty laundry. In addition, the full story never really gets exposed and other members jump in without the full story causing further insult.

Business dealings are between members and vendors. MFK merely provides a vehicle for members to find items they want and for vendors to sell their wares. We are not saying that you cannot voice your dissatisfaction, however, like with everyone else, there is a set of board rules and regulations that need to be adhered to.
