I now hate bears

Please do not shoot the bears, MAn!!!!!!!!!! It is a privilege having them around.

I would rig the garbage can with electricity in a manner it gets zapped when it touches it. It will never come back .
 
At least it's not a manbearpig,

But seriously, bears are one of the few animals that freak me out and I hate when I come across one when I'm in Tahoe. Hopefully they move on soon.

a couple "frozen rounds" from a paintball gun will get them garbage picking bears to avoid your area & move along
could also try putting ammonia soaked rags in your garbage cans they hate the stench

For the record I am NOT going bear hunting. Just from now on I will be more cautious, especially with my young daughter and walking my pup in the middle of the night. LoL
 
proved animals with free good and they stick around ..take away free food and let them know they are unwelcome and they move on.

not the animal's fault our food is higher in fat and easier to come by than natural high fat foods.
