Only if you keep ii by itself. If you want tankmates then upgrade to at least a 20.:D

My local Petsmart must be the only ones with halfway correct info. The oscar card reads "Maximum Size: 14'' Minimum Tank Size: 30g (with 30 crossed off in marker and 55g wrote in) Agressive, Tank Mates: other large Cichlids in a 100g+ tank"... So they're learning slowly.

no they will all be fine in the 10 gallon because they will grow to the size of the tank ;) LOL

Alright! Score one for Dread's Petsmart...that's a start. Now if we could get the rest of them on the bandwagon.

The girl at mine said a 55 would be needed for a Trimac at first. It was only when I said I only have a 30 that she said it might be ok. I think she thought she might lose a potential sale if she just flat out said no it won't work. When instead she should handle it something like, "Well no the Trimac will grow far too big for your 30 gallon tank sir, but I can help you find an awesome fish that would thrive in your tank. Both you and the fish will be much happier". What's wrong with that?

Lucky you. Our card still reads Oscar max. 10". Seems like when they did the last run a lot of fish shrank. Guess if you can get a pocket beagle you can get a nano oscar.

Hey that's true...I've seen Oscars about the size of 10 gallon tanks, but never bigger...

Just do what they did at Dread's Petsmart, cross thru it with a sharpie and put the correct info. You could do that on all the tags. Just do it when no one is looking lol.
