you honestley need to get rid of those poor fish and not kill them

Sounds like the all mighty dollar is a higher priority for you then the well being of the fish. Why on earth would you get rid of the tank and have noway to properly keep these fish? Why not just give them to a LFS or on craigslist, at least they'd have a better chance.

Instead you would rather try to keep and sell, don't give us that BS about putting in the freezer:screwy:

why would you sell your tank and keep the fish? That would be like a land lord sell ing your house and moving you to the shed out back.

you're doing a lot of things wrong here
and it doesn't seem like you're trying hard enough to sell those guys
i haven't seen your sales on local forums such as pnaquaria or kijiji
you could always trade in those fish to big als for store credit as they're not that large
and if you're willing to spend the effort of putting them in your freezer and killing them (???) you might as well post the fish up for free instead of looking for profit

The water makes the tub expand, the lid won't fit at all... :irked:

Im trying very hard to sell.. :( need the extra cash... x...x;;

I want to put them in my tummy but no meat

you need to get rid of those fish as soon as possible. You cannot properly house them and you absolutley need to get rid of them or they are gonna die very very soon. Try to sell them to your lfs but if they wont by them just give them away. Do something man you cannot keep theese fish any longer.

wow...
what do you expect to get from these fish? not much, considering small size, and lfs buys cheap. and if you need the cash, why are you talking about killing them?
the fish are living things too you know. they're not lifeless rocks.

you okay man? earrings only cost 5-30 dollars. i don't think you need the extra cash, just the satisfaction that you broke even from getting those fish. keep in mind that you're bound to lose money in a hobby, if you wanted to make money then consider making a business.

putting aside the numerous things that you should've done, you could place bricks or other heavy things on the side of the tub to support the bowing. or, you could lower the level of the water to reduce the weight as long as your filtration is ok. the fact that you have fish in a tub is already going to lower your chances of a "quick" sale at a "good" price. potential buyers don't want to buy fish in a tub knowing they're badly kept, and at retail price. it doesn't make sense.

and also. since you have the time to reply and read my previous post, why haven't you copy pasted your ad into pnaquaria or kijiji.ca yet? it's for toronto aquatic sales. not too many people in toronto view the ads in MFK because most the transactions here are from the US and shipping is a pain.

it seems that you don't want to put the effort into selling them, yet you complain about having them in a tub because you sold their home for some reason in which you should've made the buyer take the fish as well, and yet you don't want to give it away for free because of a few dollars. i'd have to say you're pretty intent on killing your fish .

WOW...

thats why the tank is sold before the fish (the cash) and IF I was that heartless, I wouldve done it and wouldnt even post about this topic and ask for everybody's opinion and get FLAME.

I know they are not toys...

I dont want to give them all away for free either, because not EVERYONE will take it serious. They might just want to get it because its FREE! There are no guarantee for the fish of not getting abuse, even if they buy it with cash BUT at least it cost them something, so they will value the fish more

Even when your adopting something from humane society or whatever they are called, they require a small fee...

I cant release the fish into the wild, else I would chuck them into Lake Ontario (the disease, etc ~ I understand! ~ lets not get into that)

Even $400 for a red tail gold arowana is not a lot, if you compare it to everything (I got one too :naughty: ~ @ work) It depends on your standard
