WOW...

thats why the tank is sold before the fish (the cash) and IF I was that heartless, I wouldve done it and wouldnt even post about this topic and ask for everybody's opinion and get FLAME.

I know they are not toys...

I dont want to give them all away for free either, because not EVERYONE will take it seriously. They might just want to get it because its FREE! There are no guarantee for the fish of not being abuse, even if they buy it with cash, but at least it cost them something, so they will value the fish more

Even when you adopting something from humane society or whatever they are called, they require a small fee...

I cant release the fish into the wild, else I would chuck them into Lake Ontario (the disease, etc ~ I understand! ~ lets not get into that)

Even $400 for a red tail gold arowana is not a lot, if you compare it to everything (I got one too :naughty: ~ @ work) It depends on your standard

I wish they cost $30!! T.T

Not if they are diamond earring T.T;;;

regardless of whoever taking them in would at least have a tank. the fish should do better in a tank than a tub. you could also advertise to have the potential buyers forward you a picture of what they plan to put them in. since you are the seller.

I know some MFKer keep some of their monster in their pond (swimming pool) and rubbermaid tub...

My tub aint small either, it can still hold 45G of water ;)

I just have to try harder ^^

you gotta try to get rid of em asap man
please just try giving them away to a responsible person

I think you knew better than that yourself...you don't need a right size lid. A peice of wood, plastic....a couple shirts or towels would have worked. Never expect cash back for purchases...especially when its a timely manner with LIVE animals.

And p.s. lesson learned about posting something like this...flaming will ensue.

maybe this hobby simply isn't for you. I am not trying to be mean or harsh but...please try to be more responsible about fish keeping.

I think someone may just need some attention

Fish jump, fish die, fish get eaten by other fish. It's part of the hobby. Chalk it up to lesson learned and move on.. Sorry for your loss.

Wow, just wow.

I am not sure what to make of this thread...should I laugh or cry??

The minute you got into this hobby, you took responsibility for your fish!
They may just be "fish", but they are animals and thus deserve the best care we can give them!!

And now..now you want to kill them, because you sold your tank and have to keep them in a rubber maid, because no one wants to buy them?
You don't want to just give them away for free, because as you said "then they may not be responsible", but here you are going on about killing them!!

Now, pray tell, who is the irresponsible person here?
