WHAT
i am confused here?????

those pictures are of the same jd
got that... I'm no expert, but I was judging by the back of the dorsal fin. It's hard for me to try to type to describe, but to me it seems like the back of the females dorsal curves down to a point, while the males develop like a tendril that can extend the length of the head. Males foreheads seem a little different, more defined maybe. I don't know. If you post some clear pics, the experts here will be all over it...

...and I'm changing my vote, I think it's male. The top fin looks like it is beginning to extend. Do a 40-60% water change every week, that water should be clear in less than a month, as long as your filter is working correctly. Then, keep doing 40-60% water changes every week. Not really sure what you mean when you say you've been doing a water change for a whole week, I do all my tanks in like an hour.

heres the story on my water changing recently:::::

i had been at the hospital for about a week now came home on monday....

i looked at my tank and it was to cloudy i am telling you,i couldnt see anything at all in my tank i opened the top lid and the water looked oily...im not sure if youunderstand what i mean but when the light hits the water there are parts that shine like rainbow colors that tells me that it is oily

My brother told me his girlfriend had fed my fish i really dont think she knew what she was doing, anyway i change the water that day i got home even though i wasnt suppose to do anything but get some rest.
the next day it still looks dirty but better....i changed it yesterday as well and still lloks bcloudy.

i changed it today and cleaned out thefilters took out the gravel and it still lloookss like the water is cloudy but i am able to see my fish so i know its getting better..

bump anyhow what do you guys think about the picture i provide is it a male or female???

i say female, its gill plates look abit blue-ish, i have a pair of jd's and that looks like a female, we need a pic of the other jd
