got a good young start in the hobby, so I'm guessing by the time he's your age he'll be extremely grumpy, even without your assistance!
This was a nice looooong read.
I am glad that mfk never shunned small tank people away, or stop them from posting not now nor before, when the OG used to be soo damn active,because when I joined the forum I had a 30gallon long, and no other tank.
The forum has helped me learn, and evolve into a fish keeper rather than a fish haver.
Its the monster passion, not the biggest fish, the monster sized fish and the monster sized tank will come, when the keeper is ready.

Thanks. However my next tanks are shrimp tanks, blasphemy! Maybe I'm grumpy, maybe I'm just annoyed with school haha. This place is nice because everyone isn't as crazy as people in real life. A good crazy

I started my hobby very young winning several goldfish at a carnival. My hobby has grown to caring for 13 fish tanks. Now I own several mosters such as a long nose gar. To be honest, the most time consuming tanks to take care of are my nano reef tanks. Sometimes size doesn't mean it's not a challenge. Even though it's the monsters I enjoy the most. I like this site because of the information shared. That information is applied to both types of tanks. It is nice that advice can be given on what to stock in a 20 gallon tank. If I was turned down when I was at that stage my hobby would not have progressed to were it is now. I know monsters are unique and have unique husbandry and you can't compare the care of a gar to a beta,but they both need the same heathly water conditions. I wish when I was young there would.have been a forum likethis available, it would have saved a lot of lives. This site gives s lot of knowledge and will keep people.from getting a fish species that they can't properly care for. It keeps people from buying a tiger goliath and keeping it in a 55 gallon tank

My smallest tank is 0.049 gallons, and my largest running tank is a 55, I'm quite happy here. One day, when I have the space, I'll have a decent sized tank too, but please don't throw me out until then!
