I wanna overfilter my tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
...it's just a 14gal....get a aquaclear 50 you will have 3x filtration which should be more than enough

A rubbermaid sump. Of course that will be larger than the tank, so you could consider putting the fish in the bin and using the tank as a sump.

Or just line all the edges with HOBS and fill in the gaps with canister intakes. Get yourself about a 3000x turnover a minuet...nothing too big.

Get an AC 70. They have them for $20 on BigAl's right now.

Or make a rubbermaid sump, stack an empty container on top to hide the tubing. It will look like you have some plain old storage bins sitting near the tank. Landlord will never know.

If your really smart go to walmart or someplace and find a big box. Maybe like a decoration box , a tv box , something thats big and you could use in your house! Slide a 55 gallon in it , have a friend help you carry it up and it looks like your bringing a tv or apliance into the house... simple.

Eheim 2217, make the holes on the spray bar bigger and keep it submerged.

The flow won't kill your fish and you can stuff the crap out of the canister with substrat.

lol @ AC70 and AC110.. even at a low flow the fish will be twirled around..

I had an Ac70 on a 20g long and at low it was blowing the fish all around.

Why the heck is the landlord in your apt so often?! Unless its your mom, tell her to stay the heck out of the space you pay her for! They have rules about that crap down here in Texas...

Anyway, +1 on the AC70.
