yea get some tank mates.
i recommend jewels and larger male cons with a catfish, since your goin 2 use a bigger tank u could do with a clarius cat like that one setup if he doesnt except any siklid tankmates.

Update...I first noticed the black in him when I changed the backround to black, so I thought that could have been what was making him do it. I took half of the natural substrate i have in there out. It is quite bright and I think it was stressing him out. Mixed half all black substrate that came with my 100 (the guy had enough for like 2 100's) And he loves it . I'm deff not saying his color change has ANYTHING to do with the changes I made. He just likes the "calico" kind of mix I made. It looks so good I may do it with a bigger tank in the future.......Oh yeah the update, he is turning white now NO black at all pretty cool. Its like a gamble he could be any color when he groes up. I'll post some pics of the tank and him.
here is ours and he dosen't play well with others, its an older pic of him and he managed to wipe out a 14" male jag a 15" male jag and a 9" female jag that were twice his size right now I'd say he's about 10 or 11"
