I want a red devil!!!

I just bought (yesterday) a couple plecs to keep his tank clean.....a successfull introduction! They are happy he is happy. They seem to dither him a lil, he comes out alot more.

.....Here are the latest, my cam work is getting better! I just ordered a dovii to house w/ my devil. they will be the same size (both babies) Would you guys use a seperater? or just test and then make the call? Any guesses on the sex of my devil?

haha he has a potbelly. nice. mmm i'd see what happens before dividing, but RD's mature more quickly from what i've seen so there might be some problems there.

and the dovii devil thing I really hope you have a big tank ready for them in the near future like 4-6 months

because if the devil doesnt kill the dovii by thenn then the dovii will kill the devil!!

What would be the BARE minimum iypo as tank size for the 2 single fish? I am not interested in breeding just want two awesome males. I have about 2000 to invest in tanks for my oscars and one for them. If they need a super huge tank should I overcrowd to reduse aggression, so I don't have two certified a-holes hunting each other? Could I grow them out in the 100 I have the oscars in and the put them with the o's? I know this is alot of questions.....but thanks for anyone who takes the time to help me!
 
the bare minimum for both full grown fish without a divider would be about 750+ gallons!

but with a divider you could get away with something like a 180 but a 240-300 gallon would be best

I keep my large RD in a 55 gal.
No problem.
It digs up the tank everyday ! leaving large mounds of gravel.
It bites me when vac gravel.:nilly:
Doesn't like anyone else in tank.
Big Brat........But I Love It !
 
55 is big enough for a while but you should have a 75 gal
