He is showing signs of improvement this morning. If I hadnt been staring at him for the past three days I would'nt be able to tell but still a step in the right direction. The temp is the reason for the gasping i guess but he nailed 4 tiny crickets this morning and seems to be less groggy.
great news.... !!!!:D

Conditions took a drastic turn for te worse and I have decided to switch to meds as a last stitch effort, I dropped the temp a few degrees and the poor fish is covered in ick, will update when I return home this evening.

yup2....mine too!! i always use a tablespoon everytime i chng the water

He's still active, and it looks like this is gonna be an ongoing battle of good and evil. The spots are more prominent on all parts of his body now where they were'nt a day or so ago. The meds take a few days to show any results, just hoping that this isnt a super strain of the ich protozoa.

i know it will look worse before it looks better.. it goes through the stages.. but keep up the good work... i want to hear a success story...

Okay so I think today has been pretty much of the same for the little guy, not quite as active before but that can probably be attributed to the water parameters with the addition of the meds. I havent been able to get him to eat anything today, but I did do a 50% WC after the meds had 24 hours in the tank (50%WC as per the myacin greens directions) and water parameters check out pretty well ammo nitrite at 0 and nitrate less than 10ppm... It's just a waiting game, but i would like to see the little dude cruising the surface and eating like a hogg again:) We'll just have to wait and see.

That Reply made me a convict, which is funny cuz I bought 10 convict grow outs yesterday and threw em in a 55, I know I'll get a pair or two this way, not to mention I'll never have a problem finding HEALTHY feeders. Damn petsmart...:nilly:
