He didn't buy it.
when he got it, it was in a 5 gallon bucket.


Is there anything wrong with taking a free fish and finding it a decent home?

Like Rally said..he was in a 5 gallon bucket. I didn't want the guy to take him back to the lfs and I had a 150 gallon tank that was empty. I have now found him a good home in a 300 gallon pond. I am just waiting for the guy to pick him up.

My guy is still doing great in 100% fresh water and he is about 12" now. He eats non stop and has destroyed a couple of pounds of market shrimp.

Unfortunately, I came home 2 days ago to find him dead. I don't know what happened to him? When I picked him up at the lfs he was already in brackish water. Do you think the sudden change from brackish to fresh water would have killed him? I might try to pick up another one. I will see what happens.
