Are you talking about the Mantilla that originaly came from ray777? Sorry know I remember this came from stingrayguy I think.
 
where did you get this ray? who told u it was a mantilla??

it looks like a henlei/motoro I had years back and later went to branden in WA

You are correct Mike. Mine is from Brad. If I have this down right Rare Afishinado aquired this captive bred from an aquarium facility and was passed on to Brad. I'm sure the others know more about her than I do though. I am very interested in finding out more about her heritage though. Everything I know about her is just what I've been told. She is certainly a very interesting ray though. That is for sure.
 
she was born at the aquarium of the americas and sold to a wholesaler in NY who later sold it to me. at the time it was hush hush that it was a hybrid and just sold as a regular motoro.... not so cool if u ask me.. however I investigated and found it the exhibit house henlei and motoros and this was the most likely cross......

she is probably 5-6 years old by now... good luck with her...........
 
ps when I have time Ill show u more pics of the so called pure motoros that would blow ur mind,,,, the one you have was the ugly duckling,,, no offense lol

I would love to see what happens when you breed her......

Wow that was wierd. Both posted at the same time. So my stories got some truth to it? She was sold to me as a hybrid. The I.d. I got was mantilla but brad always said henlei motoro crossed back with motoro. She's a monster! Just wish I could find a male for her. I believe she's too much for any of my lil males. I believe she'll be here for a while. Very unique ray. Ide love to see what pups would like like if I got her to breed with my unique lil male "Zero"

Thanks for the info! And hopefully she'll be a mother someday. Until then she'll just be queen of my pond keeping the Marbles in check.
