ID This Sunfish!

I will even go so fare and say it's probably a western dollar. that's just a because the fins don't look right to be an Eastern. color pic will confirm

Your probably right, its western dollar but Im still learning how to ID the subspecies of the Lepomis genus.
 
This has to be the longest running thread in history, over the ID of one sunfish. It sounds like that every one concerned (except sandtiger) is satisfied that the ID is correct, that it is a dollar sunfish. I am so happy. :)
 
For those of you that said dollar sunfish, you're correct.
I would like to explain why it is a dollar and not the other fish people suggested (pumpkinseed, redbreast, longear etc.) but am unable to at this time, perhaps tomorrow.

Nothing bad or mean, just was interested about your signature which is a quote by SandTiger, Im not sure who that quote was directed at, and dont care, my question is, What kind of fish could there possibly be that someone shouldnt have? Unless they were totally incapable of provideing proper houseing or food for that animal??
