Well, I'm coming back to fw after about 15 years of sw. Reason is its just less expensive, and a little less upkeep.

I have a new 6ft tank that I'm looking for ideas for.

Some requirements
Colorful
Interesting
Unique

Im between keeping knife fish, rainbows, or ???

Help me out

I have a clown knife and hes around 12" now. hes pretty awesome and completely passive. he only shows aggression to bite sized feeders and believe it or not their mouths are not as big as what you think, not until they get to full size. I keep mine with bichirs and other oddball fish (florida gar, giant gourami, asian upside down catfish etc)

whats the dimensions for your tank exactly? cause that will dictate which sized fish ytou can keep?

Flowerhorn....

waste, only need a 75 for a FH and he never specified that he wanted a wet pet. I'm assuming after doing SW he wants to have a community of some description as opposed to one large fish

What are the dimensions besides 6ft long you could possibly do pbass depending on width

But he said he wanted interesting fish? Pbass don't do anything but hover in place and eat a **** tonne of food.

He never specified that he didn't want a wet pet. He asked for a fish(s) that is colorful, interesting, and unique. Also just because you don't like a certain species of fish doesn't necessarily mean that the OP doesn't like that fish either.

Get some good lighting, CO2, plant it, and do a discus community. Interesting, colorful, and will work in all 6' tanks I know of. I would assume it's at least a 125, or around there. You could have 8 to 10 discus, and also have a large variety of other schooling fish. loaches, barbs, tetra, catfish, lots to choose from.

+1

Make discus your center piece with schools of tetras and rainbow sharks. They will keep it colorful and very active. Loaches for bottom
