Wow that shot with the Feate is amazing. GL with your Dovii. I lost my male after the rest of his inhabitants turned on him. Of course I took his female away from him so he didn't have the help he needed but he was a little bit aggressive after there second spawn. I am trying something along the same lines as you but it will be all Dovii. The offspring from the male I had and the female I still have with 6 baby's right now. All 1'' - 2''. But very awesome I really hope this works out for you. I gave up on trying after the last loss. I love Dovii to much to loose another after so much hard work.
lol...Even if it fails, you have got some classic shots in the mean time.I have to admit though,if I put my guy in there with that Festae,the Festae would be dead in five minutes. It wouldn't matter if it wasn't the Doviis tank.He would simply see other fish and start smashing.So It at least shows yours is more tank mate tolerant then mine.........Those pics really are coolbalton777;2180449; said:
DAY 4 Update:
The Dovii is very comfortable and settled in nicely. He's eating heartily twice a day. NLS pellets in the morning and Massivore Delight in the evening. I fear the Jaguar may not work out in the tank. The Dovii chases him and bites at him here and there. So far no damage. Nothing more than you would see in any CA comm tank but it still scares me so I'm going to move him. I put a pike in today, an 11"ish C sp Venezuela that the Dovii was in another tank with previously. The Jag will go in that tank tomorrow.
The Dovii ignores every other fish.

He' my favorite fish. I know for sure I didn't make a mistake trading out a few of my other cichlids now.
